The origin of selected Alpi version is a artistic collaboration between Ettore Sottsass and the Alpi brand in 1880, beginning of the Memphis movement.

ALPI veneer made of real wood is the base element of production at ALPI. Assiduous research and development combined with technological innovation and artisanship have resulted in a reconstituted wood that is the heart and symbol of the ALPI universe.

Tom Chung

Tom Chung is a Canadian independent industrial designer who created his studio in 2016 in Toronto. His studio focuses mainly on industrial objects and indoor spaces.

His work has received strong recognition. He was a finalist of the Design Parade in 2013. In 2018, he was named Product Designer of the Year by Designlines Magazine. The quality of the finish of his work was highlighted by the Wallapaper Design Award in 2019 for the "Best Finish Touch".

He joined Petite Friture with the Fromme chair which feeds his inspiration for biking.

The wood Fromme designer chair adds to a collection of refined and generous pieces. Petite Friture collaborates with the talented young designer Tom Chung to create a piece that is simultaneously lightweight, comfortable, and aesthetic.


In September 2023, the collection expands, and Fromme comes in leather, upholstered fabric, and wood with various available colors to brighten and illuminate interiors.
