MEDITERRANEA and WEEK-END MAKE AN ELEGANT APPEARANCE AT HOTEL CASTELBRAC

The 5* hotel features a subtle combination of styles : Art Deco, 1930s and coastal ambiance

The imposing seafront building has served multiple purposes: the home of a rich Englishman, a marine research station, and the aquarium of the national natural history museum. With current owner Yann Bucaille, a new chapter is in the making.

Parisian interior designer Sarah Benhamou achieved the elegant transformation of the extraordinary 19th-century property situated in the French town of Dinard, Brittany. The building now houses a 5-star hotel graced with a combination of design styles, including vintage, contemporary, 1930s, Art Deco, and seaside resort.

The palette of materials is deliberately elaborate, mingling velvet, walnut timber, and marble (which echoes the brass in the Mediterranea floor lamp).

With its rust-proof design, the Week-end garden furniture collection turned out to be an obvious choice for the waterfront terrace.

The pieces of the collection were selected in black, terracotta, and ivory. Please note that ivory is a contract-only colour.
