What role do designer LED lights play in our commitment to sustainability?
Petite Friture aims push the creative arts into unexplored territories while also giving impetus to unique and sustainable collections. As part of this endeavour for durable lighting solutions, our Unseen, Vertigo Nova, Cherry, and Mediterranea collections have been designed using LED lights. LED lights give off more light than halogen or compact fluorescent lamps. Moreover, LED technology consumes less energy, lasts longer, and contains neither mercury nor harmful gases thereby making it readily recyclable.
When it comes to sustainability, we do far more than just LED lights. We strive to create products that are environmentally friendly by using recycled and recyclable materials. For example, the Unseen and Cherry collections are both made of materials that can be recycled time and time again. Polycarbonate for Unseen and aluminium for Cherry. Our approach to circularity in design means that we take into account ways of replacing and repairing each part the lights we make. Thus, Vertigo Nova was designed from the outset with focus put on the eventual replacement of any parts.
